A Career at the Bar

Anil Mishra is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India with over 25 years of experience in civil, criminal, constitutional, and arbitration matters. A graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (LL.B., 1998), he began his career under the guidance of Mr. Gopal Jain, Senior Advocate, and has been associated with the chambers of Mr. Sanjay R. Hegde, Senior Advocate, since 2000. He has regularly represented the Union of India and the State of Karnataka before the Supreme Court of India and has extensive experience in both domestic and international arbitration.

Mr. Mishra has assisted in several landmark cases before the Supreme Court and is empanelled with various government and statutory bodies. In addition to his legal practice, he is actively involved in pro bono work through Dastak, supporting the legal rights of destitute women.

Representation in Cure SMA Foundation of India vs. Union of India & Ors. (W.P. (Civil) No. 460 of 2025, Supreme Court of India).The matter also names the Union of India and key ministries as respondents.

Mukesh & Anr. v. State (NCT of Delhi) & Ors. — The Nirbhaya Case

Appointed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court to assist the Amicus Curiae in this landmark case, one of the most significant judgments in India’s criminal jurisprudence on sexual violence.

Representation in the Zubeen Garg Case

I am also appearing as lead counsel in zubeen Garg murder case in trial court, Gauhati high court and Supreme Court too. I am on behalf of Siddharth Sharma manager.
